Between the lines he was trying to beg for forgiveness. The sole thing a man can ask but never be assured to be granted. I feel no anger nor spite against him anymore, but he had wronged me and shall live with the consequences. People tell me I was being cruel and merciless, however, I don't see it that way. It is only the way of life - quite objective and just. And the thing about forgiveness is that it cannot be forged. I could tell him all is well, but why lie?
I have come to realise a lot of people are afraid of the truth. They'd go miles around the issue only to avoid speaking of the truth. I don't understand why. The truth is unchangable. It remains no matter what we do or say. All our attempt to refine it are in the end futile. Yet for some reason, the truth is sometimes consider too ugly to speak of; that it'd be far too uncivilized to utter the truth.
Yes, most times truth hurts. But that's the beautiy of it. The truth cannot be compromised nor corrupted. It is the realest thing on earth. Some might say it is sacred.
